Message from the Mayor
 Mildura
in spring is always an exciting time with grape vines budding,
the harvest of a number of crops and the Jazz, Food and Wine
Festival.
This Festival showcases so much of what makes our region a wonderful place to
live and visit, particularly during spring.
Aside from our region’s tradition of great food and wine, this year’s
Festival brings traditional and mainstream jazz to our wineries and an array
of venues.
The program brings a range of performers and bands, concert bands and traditional
jazz ensembles to the region, catering for fans of traditional and contemporary
jazz.
The Jazz, Food and Wine Festival started in 1979 as the Mildura Jazz Jamboree.
As the Festival nears its 30th anniversary it continues to entrench itself as
an important part of our region’s character.
While enjoying the exciting program, I invite you to enjoy the fine food and
wine in the Mediterranean surroundings of Mildura at this year’s Festival.
