Piero Bonaguri
Piero Bonaguri’s performing and masterclass career has taken him to nearly fifty countries in all five continents, working with prestigious Institutes and Festivals including New York Carnegie Hall, the Venice Biennale, Queen Elizabeth Hall and BBC in London, Tokyo’s Museum of Western Art and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
Bonaguri has had almost two hundred new compositions dedicated to him by well-known composers such as Guarnieri, Cappelli, Ugoletti, Solbiati, Molino, Paccagnini and Benati and has recorded several CD’s. Graduated “cum laude” at Parma Conservatory, he has studied also with Enrico Tagliavini, Alirio Diaz, Oscar Ghiglia and Andrès Segovia.
Mr. Bonaguri teaches at the Bologna Conservatory (Italy). Bonaguri’s achievements include a “Tribute to Segovia” recital at Madrid’s Centro de la Villa and a recital at the U.N. headquarters in New York which he will perform during this Festival on a Murray River historic boat. Andrés Segovia wrote of him: “He will soon be a famous name among the best guitarists of our time “
