Don Mayne Quartet

October 31, 2022 7:30 pm

Arts Mildura Hub

The Don Mayne Quartet is back to get us swinging through to the Melbourne Cup Day public holiday.

There are few names in the Mallee so synonymous with jazz in the region as Don Maine. Don is a local educator, arts advocate and a darn good musician to boot.

Don has been playing gigs around the region since a teenager and was a mainstay of previous Arts Mildura events such as the iconic Mildura Jazz, Food and Wine Festival.

Joined by his quartet of other local players including Penn Farmer, Luke Peak and Lewis White this will be a great night of swinging jazz standards, original compositions and everything in between.

Ensuring that we are capturing the essence of the Mildura Jazz, Food and Wine Festival an exceptional list of wines will be available from the Arts Mildura bar along with grazing plates from Stefano’s Café.

Don Mayne – Horns
Penn Farmer – Guitar
Lewis White – Bass Guitar
Luke Peak – Drums

Arts Mildura would like to acknowledge the Latji Latji, Nyeri Nyeri, Ngintait, and Wergaia people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, along with their neighbours the Barkindji, Maraura, Mutti Mutti, Tatti Tatti and Wotjabaluk people.

We pay our respects to each of these communities and to their elders past and present.
