Animal In Hiding

October 20, 2022 7:30 pm

Arts Mildura Hub

Join us for an evening of soaring vocals paired with exquisite guitar from Lior and Domini. Performing in the Arts Mildura Hub this is your opportunity to experience one of Australia’s most acclaimed singer/songwriters up close in an intimate setting rarely possible with artists of this calibre.

Lior burst on to the Australian music scene in 2005 with his debut album—Autumn Flow—spearheaded by the much-loved opening track This Old Love. Since then Lior has become a mainstay of the Australian music scene working with some of the industries largest figures including to being personally invited by Carole King to support her 2017 Australian tour. Lior’s previous collaborations have included Paul Graboswky, Nigel Westlake, Stephen Page and Bangarra Dance Company, Invenio and many other.

Animals in Hiding brings together the talents of the critically acclaimed Lior with exciting emerging talent Domini Forster. Animal in Hiding features songs that are rooted in intimate storytelling, underpinned by intricate guitar with Lior and Domini’s close vocal harmonies as the focal point of the songs, harking back to the iconic folk duos of the 60’s.

The pair have a creative partnership developed over six years touring together. Initially Domini toured as Lior’s support act, then as a guest vocalist and now as co-writer. While Lior and Domini began writing the songs in late 2019, much of the material was developed during Melbourne’s long lockdown, over Zoom from their respective homes.

Join us for a special evening of beautiful music as we celebrate the Mildura launch of SemiArid SOUNDS.

Grazing plates from Stefano’s will be available to pre-purchase and the Arts Mildura Hub Bar will be open from 5:30pm serving an array of wine, beer and Fossey’s Gin. Grazing plates can be purchased with your tickets below.
